Blocking tics are due to either prolonged tonic or dystonic tics that interrupt ongoing motor activity such as speech (intrusions) or a sudden inhibition of ongoing motor activity (negative tic). WebBlocking tics are a thing, I don’t know if they express differently for everyone or depend on what your tics are, but you’re definitely not alone.
