I’ve dealt with Fontlab VI for few years and it wasn’t worth it. Some studios still use fontlab, but that’s a minority and mostly because it would be tough to change all the files/workflow to Glyphs. (Lucas Fonts still use fontlab Studio and Fontlab VII, at least that was the case a year ago)
