Not that I can dodge with the 500 projectiles this leaves behind. WebI got it from a regular drop while farming for a blade staff. Lantern nights (which happen after you kill a boss for the first time) give you a small boost to luck, so your drop rates are improved. Same for using a biome torch in the matching biome. I still think I was insanely fortunate to get the rod in only 50 though.
